TELECOURSE
I will not be teaching the telecourse
in the Spring, 2004 Semester.
Telecourses are an alternative electronic delivery method offered to Georgia Perimeter College students for taking classes. To take this class a student should have access to e-mail. Computer access and literacy are also highly recommended if you expect to be successful in this class. You will come to the campus only a few times during the semester to take tests.
You learn in a telecourse by doing the work on your own. There are no weekly class meetings. This works for some students but not for others. You must be disciplined and able to fit adequate study time into your personal schedule. While this allows the student a lot of flexibility, the student must be serious and self directed. You must attend the Distance Learning Orientation on the Clarkston Campus in the Fine Arts Auditorium. It starts at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, AUG. 23, 2003. At orientation you will meet your teacher and get a copy of the syllabus and a schedule of test dates and locations. You will also receive a form for checking out the videotapes from the library. Failure to attend orientation will result in withdrawal from the course. You can access the Telecourse Student Handbook at: http://www.gpc.edu/~dl/
This class uses both a textbook and videocassette tapes. You will need access to a VHS format tape player. You may check these tapes out at orientation for the semester. The lessons are also broadcast on WPBA TV channel 30.Check the Telecourse Student handbook for times. To get specific materials for this class click on the buttons below:
