The Polishing Cloth, a publication of Georgia Perimeter College, collects the best student essays from English composition, developmental studies, English as a second language and other disciplines, complementing the textbook with accessible student models.

Sarah Larson founded The
Polishing
Cloth in 1984. An annual reception honors the student writers,
and awards are given to three students whose essays are judged best in
category. Faculty members are asked to submit the best writing from
their
classes for the next edition. The editorial board consists of
