The Vanderbilt Study

Between 1945-1949, 820 poor pregnant Caucasian women were given tracer doses of radioactive iron in experiments performed at Vanderbilt University. Office of Human Radiation Experiments Oral Histories of Dr. Karl Z. Morgan and Waldo E. Cohn provide background on this experiment.
