The other form of australopithecine, robust, also has two subgroups: Australopithecus boiseiand Australopithecus robustus.Each was about the same height as the gracile variety, but was built much heavier. Both had relatively long arms, thick jaws, and similar teeth structures. However, A. robustus had a larger brain size than A.boisei.This is to be expected, as A. robustuswas the last of the australopithecine.
