Your relative dating assignment is to do Lab 4 in your Laboratory Manual for Historical Geology by Pamela J. W. Gore, DeKalb College. On p. 49, there are 8 cross sections to be done. From top to bottom, starting on the left, Examine the geologic cross sections which follow and determine the relative ages of the rock bodies, lettered features such as faults, and other events such as tilting, folding, or erosion. Always start with the oldest rock and work toward the present. List the letters in order, with the oldest at the bottom.
Each of the diagrams is worth 10 points.
