   Lab Manual is listed online as new $78.75. Do not buy a used lab manual, or many of the assignments you will need to do will have been written on or torn out.

       a.  Glass (glass jar or square of thick glass with edges taped for safety)
       b.  Strip of copper or piece of copper pipe (pennies are not solid copper)
       c.  A standard nail (not galvanized)
       d.  A piece of unglazed ceramic tile (or the unglazed back of a glazed ceramic tile)
       e.  A magnet
       f.  A magnifying glass, jewelers loupe or hand lens
   
       You do NOT need acid or an acid bottle. 
       If you have access to hydrochloric acid at your school, you may use it as long as you follow appropriate safety precautions.
