Getting started:

1. Read your web course notes.
2. See Chapter 7, p. 187-213 in your textbook for additional information.
3. Read p. 113-115 in your lab manual (5th edition) or p. 119-121 (3rd edition) on Faults.
4. See lab manual Exercise 8 (Earthquakes and Earth's Interior) - p. 121-129. (No need to do this lab. Extra credit only).

Instructions:

1. Plot world earthquake data. Musical Plates - Plotting current earthquake data.
   You can download world maps from a similar assignment here also. Click on "Requirements" for link to maps.
   Keep a copy of your map to help you work on the Volcanoes Assignment.

2. Do Lesson 2: Look for Patterns

3. Do the Virtual Earthquake Exercise on locating earthquake epicenters.

4. Extra credit: lab manual Exercise 8, p. 121-129.
