| Project
Description Service Learning is an instructional approach which incorporates teaching, learning and reflection. As a teaching method, it falls under the philosophy of experimental learning. The goal is to find ways to integrate meaningful community service within the instructional process, thus creating projects that will hereby enrich the learning experience, foster personal responsibility, encourage civic engagement, and promote the overall enhancement of our communities. Georgia Perimeter College faculty are encouraged to utilize our vast resources to develop alternative methods of teaching and learning. Faculty are able to partnership with the Atlanta Center for Civic Engagement & Service Learning, Instructional Technology, and the Media Spot in order to further develop ways to engage students with meaningful projects which enhance their overall educational experience. |
