I have found those words so comforting. I have felt so alone at times. Haven't you? Isn't it nice to know that you can relax and know that 'Every thing is going to work out just right...'. Imagine the relief!

I even had it placed on a keychain to remind me. We humans are such slow learners. We also think we know what is right but sometimes God has other things in mind.

Those words are that words of our Christ who told us He would be with us until the end of the earth. You will meet Him in the Eucharist where you will be strengthened spiritually to contend with this life. In the Eucharist all souls are brought together in the worship of God. So when I kneel at the rail, I kneel with my Mother and Father and their parents and so on. Think of it as a grand rally of Christian souls praising God and receiving the blessings of the Father. So, Jesus also bridged the gap between life and death to bring us all together in the Eucharist.

I am with you always.

I am not worthy to gather up the crumbs beneath your feet, but speak the word only and my soul shall be healed.

Thank you Jesus.

Return to Easter Holidays

  Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent

  Let all mortal flesh keep silence,
and with fear and trembling stand;
ponder nothing earthly minded,
for with blessing in his hand
Christ our God to earth descendeth,
our full homage to demand.

King of kings, yet born of Mary,
as of old on earth he stood,
Lord of lords in human vesture,
in the Body and the Blood
he will give to all the faithful
his own self for heavenly food.

Rank on rank the host of heaven
spreads its vanguard on the way,
as the Light of Light descendeth
from the realms of endless day,
that the powers of hell may vanish
as the darkness clears away.

At his feet the six-winged seraph;
cherubim with sleepless eye,
veil their faces to the Presence,
as with ceaseless voice they cry,
"Alleluia, alleluia!
Alleluia, Lord Most High!"
