Surface/heterogeneous catalysis of Hexane Soot:

*EPR studies of hexane soot with various pollutant Gases such as SO2, NO2, and O3

*Adsorption/desorption studies of SO2, water vapor temperatures.

Kinetic Studies of Fuel Thermal Instability

*Autoxidation of hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon mixtures.

*Jet Fuel Thermal Oxidation Tester used for kinetic studies at various temperatures, pressures and flow rates

*Effects of metal surfaces on instability of fuels.                                                                      

*Effects of nitrogen/sulfur organic compounds on fuel instability.

Heat adsorption of Phosphorus and sulfur organic Compounds on Heat Treated MgO

*Heat of adsorption determination by solution calorimeter.

*Various phosphorus/sulfur organic compounds tested as environmental pollutants and chemical warfare agents.

*MgO surface area characterization by BET, FT- IR, X- Ray diffraction.

*Possible usage of MgO as catalyst for destruction of air pollutants.

*Zeolites with variable Si/Al ratios investigated.

*The average acid strength of zeolites determined from the peak maximal of higher temperatures.

*Surface characterization of amorphous SiO2 – Al2O3 solids by IR – TPD methods.
