Mission Statement
The Science Division at Georgia Perimeter College seeks to establish a responsive teaching/learning environment that will continuously facilitate, promote, and support learning.
In response to the need of an ever-changing and diverse student population, the Science Faculty will continue to:
- develop up-to-date curricula to show all students the importance and relevance of Science and Scientific thinking in all aspects of life;
- plan and coordinate educational experiences which promote environmental, societal, and safety awareness; and
- prepare Science majors for future course work and endeavors.
All Science courses will provide students with an opportunity to improve communication, critical thinking, computer, and analytical skills. This will be accomplished by effective use of innovative instructional technology, laboratory techniques, and instrumentation in order to support and enhance learning.
