Eric T. Morton, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Philosophy
Eric Morton is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Georgia Perimeter
College. He completed his Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins University in 2009, and joined the faculty at Georgia Perimeter College in 2010.
His doctoral dissertation addressed issues in contemporary epistemology and the philosophies of mind and language. However, he has broad interests and his current research also focuses upon social and political philosophy, and on select figures from the history of philosophy.
In addition to his teaching and scholarship, Dr. Morton is active in the governance of the college. He is chair of the Philosophy Curriculum Committee, a member of the Faculty Senate, and a member of the Humanities Executive Council. He is also on the steering committee for the Sarah Larson Lecture Series in the Humanities.
For the Spring 2015 (beginning Jan. 12th), Dr. Morton's office hours are:
Monday and Wednesday, 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM; and
Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 to 11:30 AM, and 1:00 to 1:30 PM.
