Textbooks: There is one textbook for this course and each student needs a dictionary. The textbook is:

Lane, J. & Lange, E. (1999). Writing clearly (2nd ed.). Boston, MA: Heinle & Heinle. [ISBN: 083840949-0]

This textbook is available in the Georgia Perimeter College Bookstore at Dunwoody Campus.

Dictionary: All students in ENSL 0091 need to have one English-English dictionary, the kind with regular pages and not the kind that runs on a battery. An example of such a dictionary is The American Heritage Dictionary, Fourth Edition (0-440-23701-7). This one and others are available at any bookstore for a reasonable amount of money ($6 - $10). Having an English-English dictionary is important as only English-English dictionaries may be used during the ESL Program Exit (more elsewhere). In addition, advanced students of English should make the transition to using an English-English dictionary. Therefore, students need to have an English-English dictionary and need to become comfortable using one.
